Back to Rockville, the music blog of the Kansas City Star, points out quite a few bands that are choosing Omaha over KC for their tour stops.
I don’t think many big name bands pick Omaha over KC, but some of the quality lesser known bands certainly do. Really, I think they switch between Omaha and KC/Lawrence on alternating tours.

The NCAA plans to expand the men’s basketball tournament from 65 to 68 teams beginning next year and announced a new, $10.8 billion broadcasting deal with CBS and Turner Broadcasting on Thursday that will allow every game to be shown live for the first time.
This sounds much better than that 96-team nonsense.

I help coach—or as I like to refer to it, herd—a 7-year-old machine pitch baseball team. Yesterday was our first game, and, not unexpectedly, after every swing-and-a-miss, the poor kids were subjected to a chorus of that ubiquitous, ridiculous, and counter-productive piece of (non-)coaching: “Back elbow up!”
You never hear about a guy getting sent down to AAA to work on...
